A map is one of the most fundamental methods for representing information in visual space. A map can be a literal depiction of physical space, with actual correspondence to real places, like rooms, hallways, rivers and roads. A map can be conceptual, laying out regions, landmarks and paths of a thinking space, like a mind map. A map can also delineate an emotional or metaphorical space, like a map of your heart, showing your loves, passions, pains and scars.
How would you characterize the situation you’re in right now? Is it a physical space, a conceptual space, or an emotional space? Can you make a map to help you make sense of the space and navigate more effectively?
