Braiding

A braid is a complex structure created by interlacing three or more strands of flexible material into one. Braids are used for making rope, wire textiles, and for decoration. The opposite of braiding is unraveling.

A braided rope is stronger than any strand would be on its own, but remains flexible. Braiding is a kind of weaving, combining and interweaving elements to make a stronger whole.

If you’re not careful, a braid can also become a tangled knot!

Is there a way to weave together strands in your life or work, to make a stronger, flexible whole? How can you weave a smooth clean braid without creating a tangled knot? Are you intertwined in a situation you need to unravel?
